Friday Trip – A Day out with “TEAM”

“Hello guys got an approval from the BOSS for team outing” . Ahh ok so finally we will be going for a team outing after two years. No body was showing intrest at all just me and one more. Ya ya I know no outing is possible, everybody is so busy with their families L. But this time don’t know I was feeling like going out for a day or two. Here I am, “My name is Anu and here I am to convince you guys ;)”. Just started one to one session and tried to convince all. ------- 70% done, left with the major 30, but somehow managed to achieve 100 yahooooooooooooooo….. so we planned an outing of Friday 29th Oct 2010. I was just so happy, everybody was. So planned for flying fox in the morning and then Kingdom of dreams – Zangarro at night 7:30 P.M. show. All of us were bit dicey about KOD but flying fox for sure going to ROCKS!!!

Plan was to start by 7:30 in the morning but the cabby was not picking the call, there was a doubt in evrybdz mind but the doubt just lasted for 30 mins , here he was with the cab. Started at 8:00. Finally we were going for an outing. Stopped at McDonalds for the breakfast, guess what the whole menu was changed it was whole new French “A la Carta” Menu. Just picked the new stuff it was yummy what a start, I mean for me it was a kick start as I LOVE McDonaldsssssssssssss. We started for the Neemrana Fort where the flying fox gonna happen, it was 2 an a half hrs. run from Gurgaon.

Everybody was so much into chit chat and photo shoots specially ME J. We dint even realize and the time was gone we were there at FORT. Nobody was curious about the flying fox but for the free day. It was so different experience like no work talks no meetings just fun. We all were so much into fun mood.

The fort was so awesomely built, the greenery, the colours, marbles, décor everything was just so beautiful. Started with the pics, and exploring the fort, it was fun. Went to the top of fort for the flying fox booking, they were actually waiting for us , it was a team of 11 members , out of dat 3 were outsiders 2 were the instructors and rest 5 of us and one coordinator.

It was some form filling session before the action.

Age 60- 65, ya ya tick that you are above 60, back pain yessss, drunk yes ;) Read, done, yes, sign it. hmm just a formality, when you are going to start with real action??????? Okay lets buckle up the instructor just buckled are safety belts and the water bottles and the shoes. So all ready??? Let’s go for 1 KM trekking first , wat???? One of us was hurt and was not in a position to walk much, but he has to else he has to quit the show. We started with the trekking , here goes all the feelings, “I wish I would have done the jogging or walk every day”, “After this I will quit drinking and smoking”, “I will stop having cheese and pizza”, “how much left????”, “don’t we have a lift here????” :D :D :D finally after 5 , 6 breaks in a stretch of 1 km we reached the hill top where the set up was. OKAY can’t we quit??? Like don’t we have the option of going back?? I will quit L I can’t do that please…. It was soo high and scary, and hanging on a rope for 2 km ??? no ways I am not going for it definitely not.

Instructor called us one by one for the trial session, hmm it was my turn , its wasn’t that scary , I can do it but I won’t be the first to go. Ok here was me, here I go, damn for the first time it was like , how can you collect the guts to throw yourself from a hill???? Hmmm wooohooooooooooooooooooo it was superrrr..i have no words to explain the feeling.

It was super cool. How many more chances?? Will we be doing more??? Yes 4 more,,, just?????y not 10 L. I am just loving it. This is what I was looking for. Wow 5 mins trekking and new stop with a new rope sliding again, it is 350 meters now. I will do it first yes yes I will. I was enjoying it, I can go for it for whole day, must say everyone should go for it. Here was the last loop L ahhh can’t it be more??? I want some more loops… so this was flying fox totally rockinggg…but a bit tired and it was a shiny day, unbuckled our safety belts and went for lunch. But flying fox was so much into the air, rested for a while took some pics and started for the lunch. It was a buffet system, lunch was yum, just relaxed for few hours in the fort. And started back for the next Action “ZANGARRO”.it is a India’s version of Broadway – a musical theatre production staged on a huge scale.

I just heard about Zangarro a new cultural property called ‘Kingdom of Dreams’ has come up in Gurgaon and this show was held in one of its theatres called the ‘Nautanki Mahal’. Billed as ‘bollywood’s biggest musical ever’, Zangoora is an interesting fusion of bollywood and theatre – a play being played out in bollywood style with songs and dance every five minutes (complete with background dancers!). Boasting of big names from bollywood like Javed Akhtar (story and lyrics), Shankar-Ehsan-Loy (music), Shaimak Davar (choreography), Neeta Lulla (costumes), Zangoora is marketed as a never-seen-before experience for the Indian audience.

Honestly speaking I was not very much keen about Zangarro. Was just curious about Kingdom of dreams. Here we were and my mouth was wide opennnn…Ohh MY GOD. What was that???? God it was huge and classy and colourful, and beautiful and awesome and excellent and fantabulous and splendid anddddddddddddddddddddddddddd toooo much. Like I have used all the words still I have no words to explain its beauty….After a few mins walk we went for Zangarro show , Here was a huge compound that looked like a cross between a mandir and a palace of the 16 century India. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to explore it as we were ushered straight-away to the entrance of Nautanki Mahal where musicians in bright clothes playing different instruments stood of either side of the red carpet. A good experience that! We entered the hall-cum-lobby which served as the waiting area complete with a bar offering free soft/hard drinks and snacks. Settled on our seats with our drinks, and the show started OHHHHHHH MY GODDDDDDDDDDD.

When it was time for the show to start, we were asked to proceed to the auditorium, the first glimpse of which was awe-inspiring (please see the pictures attached). The stage here has a huge LED screen as a background and two more screens on the left and right side of the audience. When the show started I realized that all these three screens were used to show the background of the scenes playing. For e.g. the scenes in all three screens kept changing when the action moved from a palace to a forest to a seaside to a gypsy camp etc. This was further enhanced by spectacular set pieces placed in front of the screens to complete the look. The fantastic Dolby sound added to the experience (and it helped that the dialogues and well as the songs were pre-recorded).

I was just in a wait that somebody come and ask me for dance, nobody in the Audi stopped clapping from the start till end. It was a lifetime experience , suddenly a girl from the group of Zangarro came and gave me a hand for dance, without wasting a single sec I jumped out of my seat and danced for 15 mins it was awesome experince. Then went near to the stage, watched the end from there only, I was just 10 meters apart from Hussain, Guhar and kashmira it was like wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.I just cannot imagine myself doing that stupid stuff clapping, passing flying kisses to the actors Ohh God, that was crazy, but that was the moment which was forcing me to do all that. Must say it was the perfect ending of the show, I can watch it again and again. The feeling is totally un explainable, have no words to express. It was beyond words. Perfect fusion of Theater, dances and modern Animation. Spectacular sets , magnificent dances and endless energy!!!Never seen anything even closer to this in real. Totally worth shelling out few thousands. I was awestruck for whole 2 and half hours.

After the show I was not in a state of reacting, I was stunned. Kingdom of Dreams was one the best experiences and all credit goes to THE Zangoora Show. it was not only awesome but was THE Awesome experience. couldn’t imagine something like that in India, even after seeing it. Kudos to the creators and the whole Zangoora team. Highly RECOMMENDED FOR EVERYONE !!! MUST WATCH GUYS.

Then we headed for the dinner but I was not in mood of having dinner as my stomach was aching bcoz of over excitement. I just wanted to share it with somebody, but I knew I won’t be able to express it properly still called my bro, he was understanding my situation but suggested me to write it on my blog so here I am writing …

My day was so Rocking!!!

Stint at IIM Calcutta!!!

Though it was a very small stint @ IIM Cal, yet very memorable. As we all knew that campus visit is going to be a horrible experience , no one from our center was very excited. I think we have the most boring crowd in our center ;). But people from other centers are definitely going to enjoy.

Very different from my usual behavior I dint pack my stuff for Calcutta visit yet(Normally I do my packing 2 – 3 days before my travel), as I was not at all happy to go there. But finally I packed my stuff and started for the airport with my sister. Well it’s not that I throw attitude at people or I am lofty, it is just I don’t mix up easily with the crowd, it takes time. Same happened with me on the way to Calcutta. Got to know people, especially girls of our batch. Isn’t it strange, we guys were in same center from last one year but we never interacted :D. Now when we got the time, even then I was the last to interact.

Guys would always be guys, as usual busy with air hostesses, “Can I get a glass of water Mam ;) , one more please, and so on…”

Finally we landed…Ahhh it was a bad humid weather. One can easily feel the humid in the air. But the irritation was not strong enough to overcome the feeling of stepping in a strange city.

Now I was bit curious about the city and people, as one of friend told me about the city and his horrible experience. So I was expecting the same. We started from the airport for the IIMC(“MANAGEMENT” for locals). Our cabs were waiting in the parking. I was welcomed in Calcutta by the crow’s shit as soon as I stepped out from the airport , hmmmm never mind. On the way we decided to had our dinner in city only as we were not very sure about the hostel food. What could be a better option than Haldiram’s for any north Indian in such city, we all were happy and were bit relaxed “this city is not that bad”, but it hardly took 10 mins to change our statements when we were served with Sāmbhar vada with lots of Sāmbhar poured on the vadas, grilled sandwich with no veggies inside and Raj cachori with nothing inside, just 2 spoons of curd and bhujia. But we all behaved so well nobody uttered a single word and just had the dinner. Then started for Management, city was a mess, congested streets, yellow taxis, poor people and those red patched streets( Paan peeks as Bengalis are very fond of pans).I was just watching and observing the city silently. I don’t know but deep inside I was so inquisitive about the city as if I was in some different country :D. I had heard lot about their culture and nature. The only thought which was flabbergasting my mind was how I am going to stay for 6 F****** days in this city with this humid.

Finally saw IIMC gate, heard some different voices in Bengali, “chola, kothaai, bhaalo etc”. I was worried about my hostel, as my friend told me about the Annex hostel(pathetic) .I just crossed my fingers, please god help me with this hostel part pls pls psl, guard told us, girls going to stay in “Ramanujanam” hostel and boys in “Annex” woohooooo… I was so happy. We were allotted single rooms , got the keys ,mine was Room no. H4/307 , entered the room it was okay neither too bad nor too good, one bed, one Elmira, one chair table and a small balcony. There was one jug for water with a glass and a all-out kept on the table, the time I saw all-out I visualized the mosquito fight J.Hmm I was so excited about the next day, off course the first day in campus. I locked my room and shifted my luggage to my sis’ room.

First day at IIM Cal, woke up early and we four were ready to bang, started with the breakfast, ahhh great relief the breakfast was so good, I just cannot believe I was having breakfast, God what the hell is happening to me !@#$%^&*????? Hmm maybe it was the weather. But never mind I was feeling so damn hungry , I took 4 slices of bread(with lots of butter n jam) and idli Sāmbhar and of course tea. It was not just me who was feeling hungry but all 4 of us observed our raising appetites.

After breakfast we landed to Auditorium,,wooffffff Audi was fully AC…felt like sleeping on the chair. The Audi was full of colorful jokers. Guys were just staring at every girl, Girls were so much busy into chit chat, studious and most irritating students in the whole sessions were busy in preparing the queries to be asked to the prof.God I am liking it ;) that was how my college classroom used to be. So the coordinator came and welcomed us and gave a brief introduction of the senior Prof. standing next to her. Lady with a different cool attitude which was actually making her visible different in the whole crowd. She was our coordinator and Prof. too, “Runa Sarkar”. She was so cuteeee. So we started with our session. And just after 15 min I asked other three, “let’s go  it’s so boring”, and the voice came, “what????? Don’t tell me :D we are not going out, that too on the very first day and in that hot sunny day”. But after 30 min rest 3 also got bored and decided to go out. We just attended the first lecture and after the tea break we left the Audi and planned to go out. Wow I bunked the lecture, I was shocked, I never ever bunked a single lecture in my whole MCA session and now it was me who gave this idea.

We decided to go to the city to have fun, I went out and arranged a cab for us, we hired it in 200 bucks, that’s cheap. We were so keen for shopping in the city, as we heard about the leather and saaries of Calcutta. Cab guy suggested us the “New market”. He dropped us to new market, Damn this cannot be New Market, it’s too messy yuck!@#$.people were irritating. Somehow I managed to walk on the street and started looking for some good shopping stuff. And landed to a saari shop. That was the 1st and last shop we entered that day for saaries. We bought 3 saaries. And planned to go to kaali mandir and just don’t want to discuss that episode. It was very bad . Just came back to hostel, had dinner and went to bed.

2nd day was bit better than 1st day, in means of humid, rooms and people may be we were now getting settled in the IIM.Again had our breakfast and went to Auditorium, again over crowded, But must say sitting in Audi was a gr8 fun, no one asks you to concentrate, no questions at all, as it is very difficult to keep an eye on 300 students at the same time. We switched on our laptops and started chatting, played games, clicked photographs and chit chat. It was real fun. And after breakfast tea break was my favorite, those 15 min were awesome. 2nd day also we planned to go out to the city for shopping. But surprisingly it was lot more better than the 1st day shopping. We shopped a lot that day, saaries, kurtas, leather bags wohooo I m loving it   . Came back to hostel and went for a long walk in the campus. Campus had 2 water bodies, lots of coconut trees and greenery. It was awesome. After coming from such a messy and congested city seeing that campus beauty was such a relief for the eyes and mind. Everyone was walking on the campus roads. By now people were divided into groups, some groups were playing cricket , some were busy with gossiping and some were busy in eating. We 4 were busy with our photo shoots :D. can you believe this we clicked more than 500 pics in just 5 days :O. nobody among four of us was willing to study or attend lectures seriously, By now we all prepared our minds for fun and masti but no studies.

Now we started getting bored from the city so decided to stay in campus for rest 3 days, we were all set with our laptops, mobiles and notebooks to play games :D :D :D. we spent whole day in Audi from 9 to 6 wow, without getting bored or feeling sleepy. It was real fun, njyd a lot in last 3 days.

On the last day we 4 decided to wear IIM Cal t-shirts, wow we were all in white t-shirts and rest were in black. We 4 were so prominent in class, everybody came to us asking, “from where did you buy the t-shirts?”, “you guys got them stitched?” and all… wow we never expected so many compliments . We four were so happy and were feeling so different from the crowd. A photo shoot was arranged from IIM for the students. That was boring again, our personal photo shoots were far better than that.

Starting from registration, to lectures, making new friends, meeting someone with whom you were chatting since last one year, staying back in hostel, spending time with all the friends in and outside the campus, shopping and having breakfast, lunch and dinner together – everything is sailing in the heart. What looked like a plan of lecture series in the first week of April (the schedule of events sent by course coordinator) became a memory for the lifetime. Plans became memories, dreams were now realities, and milestone became a reason for celebration. Every one of us knew that we are just going to be together for 5 days only and so was trying to make the best use of all time what they had. Amazing! We had a real fun in those 5 days.

We just got the chance to relive our college life again in those 5 days and we left no reason to regret in our lives for not enjoying the college life.

City was not very good to be remembered, but those moments which we 4 shared (we 4 girls) in the hostel, Auditorium, Shopping, kaali mandir, Howrah bridge, Dinner in Park Street, Gaungly’s restaurant , FLURY’S, New market, METRO :D ,searching for a sunscreen with high SPF, Airport and last but not the least boys of our group.

I will always cherish this trip to IIM Cal. It was the best we could enjoy in that humid and hot weather. Must say the hangover of those 6 fun days going to stay for long.

Happy Birthday to me!!!

Happy birthday to me, Happy birthday to me,

Happy birthday dear Anu, Happy birthday to me!!!

Wooohoooo it’s my bdy today…No doubt birthdays are special but when it starts with a special wish it becomes more special J.Hmm nothing could be better than that. So it’s time to look back guys and realize “Ahh I am one year older!!!” Except those of course who arrived on 29th Feb :D :D :D.I am so thankful to all my buddies. Special thanks to God to allow me to still count my birthday wishes.

“Happy birthday on this beautiful day,
There's so many things, I just want to say.”

Since morning 7 I am on call, taking wishes from my loved ones and the best line I hear after “Hppy bdy Moti” is “So how old r u now????” most irritating question L.That’s ok!! Never mind. Was very happy today and thought of starting my day with a different touch, but but but L.Came to office, celebrated with my colleagues. What next?? So this was my next step, Me Blogging. I thought blogging would be a better idea to express myself. It’s just not a blog for me, but a feel that I am talking to my inner self. As usual I am trying my best to make my day beautiful but cannot neglect the fact that this day can never be a good day for me and my loved ones L.But hey guys don’t worry just 13 more hours to go.

Best part of the day is my cutest DAD. Who never remembers my birthday. It’s always me who calls him and take wishes. So nothing different this time. I called him 11 in the morning and asked him to wish me :D. he wished me something like this, “Hello beta Happy bdy beta,Sorry datti kisi ne mujhe yaad hi nahi karwaya,Sry.Or kitna bada ho gaya??Or kya plans hain aaj ke?Kya gift chahiye?? Chalo bête main office mein hoon baad mein baat karta hoon :D :D”. That’s my DAD, I love him so much. . And icing on the cake, a cute wish from your best brother. He called me up at 12:30 am, “Sorry di I am late,I thought I will watch a movie so that I don’t miss to wish you at 12, but this movie was so damn interesting that I dint realize that I am already 30 mins late” :D.

I just hope all goes well today. Let’s see what’s new gonna happen!! God Bless me! Love u all.

Should this not be entered in the Guinness Book of Records?

On my way to office todayI was wondering why India is not having maximum number of entries in “Guinness Book of Records”. Like we have so many things which are unbeatable. India could be recorded in GBR for the maximum amount of garbage on streets, maximum wait time on red lights, Maximum amount of food wastage at marriages, record of maximum number of guys peeing or spitting on streets, maximum number of plastic used in country despite of the ban on use of plastic, maximum number of people breaking traffic rules at same time, maximum number of red light gyrating on the top of the cars of 'important' officials, and lot more. God we are so talented. Why are we not in GBR for all this, I wonder!!!

The best one is the Indian Lavish Marriages. God knows why people waste so much money and energy on the union between two individuals or families. Even if they invite their near n dears then also investing so much money for a ceremony(which should actually be sacred not a showcase) is total waste. Further the main point is the outcome of the marriage is not at all proportionate to the money invested. People here just believe in flaunting their money, status and lifestyles nothing else. I just don’t like this pretentious side of this ceremony which is often more a money(most of the time borrowed) showcasing.

Give me some sunshine, give me some rain,

Give me just one chance,

I wanna rewrite GBR once again :D :D :D

What type of music you like????

This was asked to me today…I was chatting with one of my friend today when I was asked this funny question. I found it funny bcoz I always fall in dilemma whenever someone asks me this. I don’t know but I don’t have a choice in music, it just depends on my mood. If i am in a happy mood I love listening to zippy numbers, no actually I think romantic songs or slow or Sufi or ghazals or ammmmm…see I am again confused. God I don’t know which type of music I like. Few days back I was in love with a song “tera hone lga hoonnn”, but bcoz of my stupid habit (of listening to a song 40-50 times) now I am getting a bit bored with the song. Its “Ibne batoota” dis time. :D :D :D..

Whatever the scene is now I have a collection of songs “MEGA MIX FLAVOUR”.So I just answered my friend “What type of question is that??? U nerd :D Fun or enjoyment can never be categorized, it’s just you enjoy and live the moment”.

I din't know that surprises comes in handsome packages too!!!

Woohooo!!! I got two big surprises today.I dint know we have two big writers in our family behind the wall.God I just cannot believe this my two awesome brothers are so talented. They just surprised me with there writing skils.I was surfing my FB account when I came across this post “Ron Is back!!!”.I just clicked on the post and it was a link to the blog.It was a shock for me,Ranjan has actually started his blog.I read his few post and damn I found them so intresting.Must say I m impressed. He is so gud at blogging.Gud work Bro keep it up…

And and and its not finished yet 2nd blast of the day was my brother Rishabh. He actually pinged me today asked me to go through a website showing some postcards sharing.he asked me to go through the FAQ’s.But poor me dint get a single word so I told him to help me with that.He shared his experience with me how he actually got this link. And the shock came thorugh a mail sent by “Rishabh Aggarwal”.God 2nd Shock of the day.He wrote a letter to a guy name Rakesh(An Author).I don’t know if I will be able to write it properly or not so let me post his lines so here it goes “1 FEB 2010 6.30PM

It was around 11.30 when I reached Head Post Office Sec 17 Chandigarh.I purchased the MCET form from counter 3 and turned back when I first saw The Jaliawala Bagh and Kabir postal tickets ,hanging on the wall, enlarged enough to be seen by everyone out there.I had been to post office many times but never noticed them . They were too attractive. My mom is very interested in collecting new tickets. So I inquired from the counter from where can I get them and got directed to the 2nd floor black symbol. There I difficultly read PHILATIC BUREAU.I didnt know the meaning of the locked office title. So I inquired in other one and waited for one mam to come, after confirming the Philatic bureau is the one I was finding.Mam came and finally the room opened and my eyes too, even more wider.
The room got the collection of tickets like the hidden treasure for philatelists. And that was the moment ,when I felt my love for the tickets. There were tickets ,pasted on boards, arranged theme wise like army, religion ,india, etc.Awsome collection, I must say.The one ticket which inspired me ,also, was THE HARMANDIR SAHIB AMRITSAR ticket hanging in the room . More like a plant ticket ,a bird ticket were also hanging which were great to watch. I never wanted to purchase more than two tickets that I found hanging on the wall at ground floor, but than I purchased every single ticket available there,I dont know why.May be it was my hidden passion for tickets, which made me do so.They all were awsome ,so I could not resist myself from buyin them.
I got my eyes on a book STAMP COLLECTION FOR BEGINNERS by RAKESH WALIA.I gave a look to every page and by the time I was back on the chair,a person had entered into the room and had started askin me of my philatelic behaviour. In end he mentioned the book I was reading was written by him.A complete shock!! I was too surprised to have the writter ,a pure philatelist, before me,sitting beside me on next chair.Next moment I realised may be this was my luck but than it was my destiny , which I realised after half an hour of talk with him.I was invited to the exibition, exchanged addresses, praised by him ,motivated to collect more, and what more, he became my friend by next 2 hrs.He was too frank to do shopping with me and buy a jacket on my recommendation. I loved his style and enthusiasm with which he was full of.I can say the day 1 FEB 2010 is an achievment for me.
Thats how a beginner philatelist met The achiever.

So that was my 2nd surprise.Hmmm it was a day full of cute surprises… God bless them both :)

May be this is my right path !!!!!!!!!

Everybody is busy in writing something or other these days, so I thought Why not, I should also ring the bell. Preparing for my Exam these days. May be this exam is the main force making me more inquisitive about Indian History. Not just history but all the subjects I read in my school days. I don’t know why but these days I m feeling like doing my schooling again. I am really very keen to study my school books again. I don’t know if this keenness is for a short while or what, but I am feeling like starting it again from scratch. I discussed this with my sister but she says, don’t worry when I will have my kids studying I will again have a chance to relive my school. While sharing this thought with you guys another thought is taking shape in back of my mind. May be I m bit confused these days :(.I am looking for some options. I have this feeling these days that I am not utilizing my best. I think I am still not aware of my talent, need to explore myself more.

Sometimes I feel like starting everything from start, like doing some course and start my career again, then another thought comes to my mind that no I don’t want to get into any IT chamber again. I feel like joining some classes at one moment but on the other moment I think of doing some business.wufffff…I will die thinking all this. Seriously my brain will blast and I am very sure there will be a different idea printed on each piece of my brain :D…

I am not very sure if you all also get the same feeling. But this is what happening with me these days.
